Publication Ethics Statement for Stilt
Stilt is the journal of the Australasian Wader Studies Group, which is a special interest group of BirdLife Australia. Stilt publishes material related to wader (shorebird) monitoring in Australia and elsewhere in the East Asian–Australasian Flyway (EAAF). The EAAF stretches from the Russian, Siberian and Alaskan (USA) arctic, through the east Asian continent, south-east Asia, Indonesia, to Australia and New Zealand. Submissions to Stilt are accepted from all countries in the EAAF. The journal aims to promote the involvement of both amateurs and professionals and as such, welcomes material that represents these differing levels of scientific expertise.
The purpose of the Publication Ethics Statement is to outline the expectations of Stilt and the AWSG in relation to publication ethics, given the journal’s aims and scope. These are presented as a set of minimum ethical standards for authors and reviewers alike, as well as outlining the roles and responsibilities of the editor.
